THE WORLD CONVENTION FOR
PHOTOBIOMODULATION (LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY )
3–6 October 2018, Nice, France

THE 12TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS, 2018

Dear friends and colleagues,

We warmly welcome you to the 12th International Congress for WALT—the world’s foremost convention for Photobiomodulation (Low Level Light Therapy).

It’s a great pleasure to host WALT-2018 in our beautiful city of Nice, France. With its natural beauty and mild Mediterranean climate, Nice is the perfect location for an enjoyable and engaging conference.

We are honoured to have the world’s leading authorities on Photobiomodulation—and up and coming scientists—present their latest work. Their combined expertise will be both inspiring and motivating—and contribute to the main goal of WALT-2018: the composition of clinical and technical international guidelines (or consensus statements) in all the major fields of interest; to be endorsed by all PBM Communities and Scientific Societies.

The Scientific Program includes many sessions and workshops including laser safety, veterinary, dental, physiotherapy, supportive care in oncology, acupuncture, stem cells, metabolic and immune disorders, ophthalmology, neurorehabilitation, anti-aging and cosmetics, and more.  In all the various sessions, presentations will focus on mechanisms of action, clinical trials, safety, dose-response relationships, and state-of-the art protocols.

Well over two hundred abstracts were submitted for podium and poster presentations. We sincerely thank all authors for the extremely high standard of this year’s submissions. We also thank our panel of international peer reviewers who spent many weeks assessing and evaluating each submission. Their final selections have guaranteed a world class scientific program.

New to WALT this year is our inaugural “Abstract Competition”—specifically for trainees and students. The top seven meritorious abstracts will be invited to present in a special session. Three winners will be announced at the dinner banquet, where they will be awarded a plaque and cash award.

We especially wish thank this year’s industry sponsors. Their support and contribution towards WALT-2018 cannot be overestimated. As delegates, please make sure you visit the trade displays and get to know the exhibitors.

You’ll notice dedicated social events are included in the program. Please come along and get to know your fellow delegates.  We trust your time at WALT-2018 and your stay in beautiful Nice will be memorable and enjoyable.

Wishing you an enthusiastic and fruitful Conference!

Kind regards,
